TOP 10 GAMES OF 2016 THAT I WANT NOW

Woohoooo. What a year 2015 has been for gaming. 2016 would be of no exception, starting from end of January till probably year end, I am quite sure the release dates for some titles will fall into places nicely.

But one might ask, will there be any games that can top last year's Witcher 3, Phantom Pain and Fallout 4? Let's hope so, for consumer's sakes. So for now, the cycle restarts. The waiting game is on yet again. Here is my 10 top list of the most salivated games I can't wait to get my fingers on.

1) RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER PC 29 JAN

Although Lara had already made her debut last year in Xbox One, PC and PS4 gamers would want to have their share in the fun as well. Based on the massively successful reboot and trailers, this is going to be another great adventure again.

2) FOR HONOR (no release dates)

I love Mutiplayer Shooters like the Battlefield series. But if that is converted to a medievel setting, it is a dream come true. In For Honor, you take a side, probably a Viking or a Samurai and battle your way through. I cannot wait to read up on what kind of modes that goes along with the gameplay.

3) TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION 8 MARCH

After much delays, the date release for The Division was finally annouced last year. As we have gathered, this RPG/Shooter will be one of those games that puts you in post apocalypse world setting. From the beta test and trailers we have seen, it looks epic.

4) CYBERPUNK 2077 (no release dates)

Witcher 3 was a huge success for CD Red Project. The developer shows how much it cares for their customers and made sure that we get what we asked for. After numerous generous free DLCs as well as epic scale expansions, you can only imagine what they have in store for us for their next project. Trust in CD Red Project. They will deliver.

5) STAR CITIZEN (no release dates)

I am not much of a space themed fan, except for a great few. Star Citizen previews has excite in ways where Mass Effect had. With its procedural world as its main selling point, taking beyond the skies with your own ship, together with likes of Mark Hamil and John Ryhs-Davies as voice actors for integral characters in the game, it will be huge. Space battles will probably be redefined.

6)  TOM CLANCY'S GHOST RECON: WILDLANDS (no release dates)

The Ghost Recon series has always been a success. While the series' campaign has been linear all along, this latest installment focuses on sand-box mechanics. Stalk, track, parachute stealthily, guns blazing, commandeer vehicles....the only thing limiting is your imagination. The mechanics will probably be similar to Phantom Pain but an Open World Ghost Recon is something rather novel.

7) XCOM 2 PC 5 FEB

One of the biggest brand names in PC games, XCOM will demand your hours, days and weeks again as you revisit Earth's invasion. The trailer shows that the Earth is already been taken over and it is up to you to take back your home. With the new mobile HQ, we only hope that the biggest problem of repetitive maps/locales is solved.

8) FAR CRY PRIMAL 23 FEB

We have seen how the Cry Engine has made a marvel out of tropical islands as well as the highlands of Nepal. What we have not seen is how it illustrates the world set in the 10,000 BC where mammoth and sabre tooth tigres are still on the top of the foodchain. It is just so apt that Ubisoft has decided to go primal on Far Cry (no puns intended) because we have seen how their stealth system and bow-arrow works. Place a throwing spear in your hands and yes, you have yourselves an awesome back to the roots, survival and respect mother nature kind of game.

9) HORIZON ZERO DAWN (NO RELEASE DATES)

Well maybe I am a sucker for bows and arrows. Yeah, maybe I wish I was a Drow Ranger. But Horizon Zero Dawn really blew me away with its host of gadgety arrows as well as the mechanized beast in a primal world setting. That is very rare if you ask me. What is great is it seems that it is a hybrid of Monster Hunter, Witcher and Dragon's Dogma. I am sold.

10) WARHAMMER TOTAL WAR 28 APRIL

When I first played Warhammer Dark Omen when I was 15, it was a gamble. It looked kinda of neat from the box cover. So i bought it without knowing what the hell is it all about. And when I did play it, that was my first ever exposure to medieval fantasy warfare. It was so addictive, I had to play it sneakily after my parents went to sleep. And when it was announced that it is going to be a Total War game, I was just filled with so much joy. This is going to be.....I don't know....what is more epic than the word epic itself?

Alrighty. This just too much.....way....too....much. Happy waiting!
